April 2026
Welcome to Spring: A Season of Growth and Momentum
The arrival of spring is always a breath of fresh air. As the days grow longer and the landscape begins to transform, we are reminded that growth is a process—one that requires patience, nourishment, and consistency.
In nature, we see the first buds appearing on the trees and the flowers beginning to break through the soil. Within our school walls, we see a parallel transformation. Our students are blossoming, showing off the skills they’ve cultivated since autumn and reaching new heights in their academic journeys.
Celebrating Progress, Staying Focused
While we have so much to celebrate this month, the "finish line" of the school year isn't here just yet. Spring is a critical time for deepening our understanding of complex concepts and solidifying the year’s lessons. There is still a wealth of learning to do, and every day counts.
The Power of Being Present
To make the most of this vibrant season, attendance is key. When students are at school every day, they don't just keep up with the curriculum—they stay connected to their community.
Success is built on the foundation of consistent schedules and routines. A steady morning rhythm and a reliable school day structure help students:
Reduce Anxiety: Knowing what to expect allows students to focus on learning rather than logistics.
Boost Retention: Consistent daily practice reinforces new skills.
Build Discipline: Strong habits formed now will serve them for a lifetime.
Let’s work together to keep our students energized and ready to learn. By maintaining our routines and showing up with curiosity, we ensure that this season of growth is the most successful one yet!
"Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's go!'" — Let’s carry that energy into our classrooms every single day.

TESTING:
IAR Testing starts this week for our 3rd through 5th Graders. IAR is the Illinois Assessment of Readiness. The students will be tested in both Math and ELA over the next couple of weeks. The best way to support testing is to make sure they get a good night’s sleep, have consistent routines, and are at school everyday WITH FULLY CHARGED COMPUTERS!
